We’ve given hummus, a traditional Middle Eastern favorite, a twist.
Our hummus is made with the country-cooking staple,
black-eyed peas, that came to America with enslaved Africans Move
over Hummus can be used as a spread or dip. The protein
and fiber food is loved by vegans and vegetarians.
Ingredients
2 cups canned seasoned black-eyed peas
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 cloves garlic roughly chopped
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon hot sauce
2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Make it!
until creamy and smooth.
Makes 2 cups
Enjoy with flatbread, pita, or fresh veggies!
